Youth-Speak Debates

The Rotary Club of Wembley will host ‘mini parliamentary debates’ by sixth form students across London throughout Parliament Week. Students will debate of a variety of topics,  including the impact of social, political and technological issues on skills development and interactive relations. School groups will split into debating groups to speak out for or against the different motions.

The students will present their ideas to a mixture of young people and members of the public attending the events.

The event will run from Friday 14 November to Thursday 20 November, starting at 10.30am every day (excluding Saturday and Sunday).   There will be two sessions of two-and-a-half hour each with the afternoon session starting at 2.00pm
