Signing up for UK Parliament Week
1. What do I have to do to take part?
Sign up and we’ll send you a free UK Parliament Week Kit, for your activity.
2. What activities can I do?
What works for you. There’s lots of ideas in your kit that will work for your organisation. You can just open your kit and go! If you’d like to take things further, there’s more resources on our website including stories from groups from previous years.
3. How many people can take part in my activity?
As many as you like. It can be big or small!
4. Do my activities have to happen during UK Parliament Week?
Your activity can take place at any time, but UK Parliament Week is officially 1 – 7 November and we would love for you to be part of the action!
5. Will my MP come to my activity?
When you sign up, we will ask you if you’d like us to let your MP know you’re taking part. Your MP might get in touch or ask if they can come along. There was an average of 18 events in each constituency last year, so they won’t be able to come to every activity.

- You can also invite a Member of the House of Lords, or a local councillor!
If you live in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland you may want to invite your MSP, MS, or MLA. You can also contact a local councillor or elected mayor.
6. Will other people be able to see my activity online?
No, activity details aren’t published on the website.
7. Is there a sign up deadline?
Nope, you can sign up any time. But we only have 13,000 free kits and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
8. What’s in my kit?
Each kit has bunting, a ballot box, a poster, selfie kits, stickers and a booklet made for your organisation type.
9. When will I get my kit?
If your organisation is one of our official partners, we may be waiting on special content from them for your booklet which could delay your kit being sent out.
Kits will start being sent out during the summer. Remember to provide your full address and postcode so we know where to send your kit.
10. How much does it cost?
It’s free. All you need to do is sign up!
11. Can I have more than one kit?
Yes – you will need to sign up separately for each kit that you require.
12. Can you send me additional items from the kit?
It isn’t possible to send out individual items from the kits but you can sign up for additional kits to receive additional items.
After UK Parliament Week
13. Do I get a certificate or badge?
Everyone will get a digital certificate after they complete the feedback survey which will be emailed to you at the beginning of UK Parliament Week.
Uniformed organisations can claim badges by completing the same feedback survey. You’ll have to select ‘uniformed youth group’ as your ‘organisation type’ in the survey to be taken to the right page to claim badges. Remember to provide us with a full address to make sure they arrive with you safely.
14. When will my badges arrive?
Badges will be sent out from the beginning of January 2021. We’ll do our best to get them to you quickly, but it could take four to six weeks from the beginning of January 2021.
