A Parliament style debate involving participants in identifying and debating local issues of importance to them. This will be followed by a discussion on Human Rights, Equality and Youth and Democracy internationally; involving participants in sharing experiences from around the world. We will then design, create and play board and card games about the issues discussed.
This interactive workshop will be facilitated by Dr Gill Cressey, course director for BA(Hons) Community Development and Social Care; and Kavita Sohanta International Studies and Social Science Employment Personal Tutor.
Open to both students and for the public. 16-24 year old’s are particularly welcome given this year’s Parliament Week campaign, Do Democracy.
