Participate! A Halton Year 6 Event

We’re inviting representatives from primary schools across the borough to join us on journey to explore Parliament and participation.

In the morning we’ll be taking part in an interactive session looking at how Parliament and Government works: What are MPs? How are they elected? How are laws made? And much, much more.

The afternoon will see us bringing it closer to home with sessions around involvement here in Halton. Young people will get the chance to work with their local councillors and with professionals from across the public and voluntary sector to help plan how they want Halton to look in the future.

We’ll also see involvement from Halton Youth Cabinet and young people will have the chance to learn how they can get involved and make a difference in their community.

This is a great chance for students to learn a little about how Parliament and local government works and to explore how they can stay involved and active in their community in the years to come.
