12–18 November 2018

Mouthpiece is a musical tour through the House of Commons, House of Lords and Westminster Hall, which will be interspersed with beautiful a-cappella songs. The lyrics have been inspired by interviews with Parliamentarians and parliamentary staff and offer audiences an illuminating insight into the ‘human’ side of Parliament and the people who work here today.

This exciting new promenade piece, which is part oratorio, part documentary, is the creation of composer-director Jennifer Bell and artist Tom Marshman. Historic details will be interwoven with moving, funny and fascinating personal accounts, whilst exploring what it means for each of us to have a political voice.
