How we benefit from living in a democracy

In our PSHC lessons the pupils we learn in a practical way (kinaesthetic way is our preferred mode of teaching and effective with pupils with complex needs) how they benefit from living in democracy.

We will explore entitlement to free education and support to meet their needs – where does this come from? We will discuss the meaning of equal opportunities and how this is possible in democracy. The activities will have to spread over a few days for our pupils to be receptive and possibly a week before as the time wise the dates overlap with a Harvest Festival.

In addition to formal lessons, we will use our KS assembles to enhance the learning in more informal way at the age appropriate level including the cognitive ability of the audience.
