Comedy, Populism and Donald Trump

The Centre for Comedy Studies Research and the Magna Carta Institute (Brunel University London)
present a lively panel discussion that will examine the role of comedy and satire in UK and international politics, with a specific focus on the relationship between US President Donald Trump and comedy and satire.

It aims to engage a broad range of publics with UK and international politics and explore the role of comedy and satire in contemporary politics and populism. This panel discussion will feature a mix of academics, political commentators and comedy industry speakers.
