What is UK Parliament Week?
A programme of events and activities that connects people with the UK Parliament and democracy.
There is something for everyone: whether you attend or organise an event or simply take part in the conversation online using the hashtag #UKPW16.
Organisations across the UK run events and activities throughout UK Parliament Week which explore what the UK Parliament means to them and their community.
This year UK Parliament Week is partnering with Girlguiding Ulster and has developed this resource to encourage units to get involved.
Who can get involved?
Guide and Senior Section Units can take part by Engaging, Empowering and Exploring Parliament and what it means to them. We’ve included ideas and suggested activities your unit can use to participate in UK Parliament Week this November.
How do we take part?
Sign up your unit and register that you are going to do an event or activity for UK Parliament Week via our quick online form. You must register to receive you resources, certificates and badges. You only need to complete one of the three activities below:
Activities should ideally be carried out during UK Parliament Week, 14-20 November (or as close to this week as possible).
Get a badge
All units who register their activities and take part will receive badges and certificates. These can be claimed by filling in the online feedback form which will be emailed to you ahead of your event.
