Phyll Opoku-Gyimah is co-founder, trustee and executive director of UK Black Pride. UK Black Pride celebrates black LGBT communities and aims to raise awareness of black LGBT people.
She is also head of campaigns at the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union and campaigns on black LGBT rights as well as being on the Trades Union Congress (TUC) LGBT committee. She has won many awards and accolades for her work in the black LGBT community.
In 2015, Phyll was named in the Independent’s Rainbow List as one of the top 100 most influential LGBT people.
