Young people and democracy – why would I bother to get involved?

The aim of the event is to increase civic participation and promote the community activism with young people, mainly from the Onslow St Audrey’s School.

The event will be run in partnership with current and former councillors, Houses of Parliament Outreach Services, local newspaper (Welwyn Hatfield Times) and delivered at the school.

The event will help to enthuse young people to get involved in democratic processes and intensify the dialogue between institutions and their young citizens.

Our joint project will enhance youth’s sense of belonging to the local and wider community.
