Unlikely Parliamentarians

This Parliament Week, the History of Parliament Trust will publish daily blogs on ‘unlikely parliamentarians’ – the men and women across history who became parliamentarians only unexpectedly. From Danes who sat in the 15th century, to Rosie Barnes, elected in a surprise victory for the Social Democrat Party in 1986, these stories will highlight the range of people who made it to Westminster.

These blogs will feature some of the History of Parliament’s latest research and span the 15th century to the present day.
