Social media and the law debate

The Supreme Court education staff will be welcoming 25 sixth form students to spend the day learning about the work of the court, its former connections with Parliament and how to prepare and run a debate.

The student debate will be looking at whether it is fair to prosecute somebody for an offensive comment on social media, the students will be assisted by professional lawyers and the debate will be run in a Supreme Court room.

Unfortunately the session will not be open to the public but visitors are welcome to peek through the glass court room doors to catch the students in action.
