REPRESENT: Be an MP for 90 minutes

Congratulations. After one of the most exciting elections in recent history, you’ve just been elected as a Member of Parliament. Around 70,000 people are looking to you to represent them. Some are your closest friends – others can’t wait for you to lose your job. So what now?

Step into an imaginary House of Commons to discover what it’s like to be an MP. In this 90-minute workshop at the Young Vic Theatre, you’ll discover how Parliament works, encounter the ghosts of previous MPs, and chart your own course for the future.

Decisions will be necessary. Plans may come unstuck. But for these 90 minutes, you’ll have the blessing of the people, and the chance to represent them. How will you get on?

The event is free for 16-24 year olds who live or study in the Young Vic’s surrounding London boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth.
