Parliament Week at Barugh Green

As part of Parliament Week, discussions will take place in each year group, at appropriate levels, to inform children about the importance of democracy and their role now, and in the future.

Our head teacher has contacted Dan Jarvis MP, who has links with the school and has visited before, with the hope he will be able to come in and have a Q and A session with the children in Key Stage 2. If this is able to go ahead, we would like to arrange an opportunity for our school council to speak with him also about his role and how they can imitate this on a smaller scale.

We have also arranged for the school council to visit the Mayor at the Town Hall on Monday 14th November.
