Come along to hear more about ‘freeborn John’, a local man who helped shape modern ideas about human rights during the English Civil War period.

At this public lecture Professor David Walker of Northumbria University will be celebrating John Lilburne’s achievements and his relevance for contemporary debates about public democracy and human rights.
