13 – 19 November 2017

Housing for the future #DoDemocracy

We will be inviting young people aged 18 – 24 to debate housing as an election priority as housing crisis impacts 18 – 24 year old’s more than any other age group.

We will be using Twitter and Facebook to highlight the housing issues and encourage young people to vote as the only way to affect change. Residents at our young people’s supported housing foyer will be invited to a small event where they will share their thoughts and experiences with one another and via video through social media channels and our website. We will encourage other young people to do the same with a view to holding a debate or question and answer session online during Parliament Week.

This campaign will directly link the Parliament Week campaign #dodemocracy and will be supported with a Facebook advertising campaign to 18 – 24 year old’s in the South West.

We will be highlighting housing issues affecting 18 – 24 year olds and encouraging them to use their vote to help end the housing crisis. The activity will mainly be online using social media – Twitter and Facebook, encouraging 18 – 24 year olds to tell us what is importatnt to them.
