Democracy on Demand – the impact of televising the Commons

To mark the 25th anniversary of televising the Commons Chamber, this Parliament Week event brings together Members of Parliament and the media to discuss the impact that televising the Commons has had on politics, public engagement and how politicians are held to account. The debate will also look at the future of broadcasting in Parliament, and how technological developments are changing the way that the media reports on politics.

The debate will be chaired by Jo Coburn from the BBC’s Daily Politics, and confirmed panellists include the Rt Hon Sir Alan Haselhurst MP, Lisa Nandy MP and John McAndrew (Sky News).
