Engage with Parliament beyond elections

2017-09-04 – Emma Stephenson

UK Parliament Week (13-19 November) is an annual festival that engages people from across the UK with Parliament, explores what it means to them and empowers them to get involved. There is something for everyone: whether you attend or organise an event.

Blogger Eleanor Claudie got her hands on one of our free UK Parliament Week kits, with balloons, bunting, pens and a squeezy Big Ben. Eleanor told us why it’s important to engage with Parliament beyond elections, why UK Parliament Week is the perfect opportunity to get involved and make your voice heard. Read the full blog* here.

All 4,500 of our kits have now been claimed, but you can still take part in UK Parliament Week! Register your event or activity here and we’ll give you a free resource booklet with lots of ideas and activities.

If you don’t want to hold your own event, you can find out what’s happening in your area during UK Parliament Week on our website.

Join in the conversation online by following @YourUKParl and using our hashtag #UKPW17.
