We are excited that you have joined our growing network of UK Parliament Week (UKPW) Official Partners. Working together we can share our resources, knowledge, and expertise to reach common goals.
How does the Partnership work?
The information below outlines the nature of the Partnership between your organisation and the UKPW team. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch.
What will our Partnership achieve?
Together, our UKPW objectives are to:
- Inspire people to engage with the work of UK Parliament and politics
- Provide opportunities to explore what democracy means to them
- Inspire and empower people to take action that will benefit themselves and their communities
What’s in it for you and your organisation?
- Be part of a diverse network of organisations working together to achieve common goals
- Have your own dedicated Official Partnerships Campaigns Officer within UK Parliament
- Gain access to bespoke training about:
- what the UK Parliament is and what it does
- inspiring ideas for building a successful campaign
- top tips on influencing MPs and members of the House of Lords
- ways to get involved with the UK Parliament and have your say
- Raise your profile and promote your organisation on the UKPW website and social media
- Receive regular UKPW updates and news from other UK Parliament Teams
- Take part in regular themed digital focus groups
- Find resources including social media graphics; press release templates; contact lists of MPs and Peers; resources created by other Official Partners on the online the Official Partners Hub
- See who is participating from your network by viewing participation data which you can search and filter
- Join us at the official UKPW launch event in the UK Parliament
- Take part in planning for the next UKPW at the Official Partners Away Day in early 2021
- Contribute your knowledge and expertise to the planning of UKPW and other UK Parliament engagement activities
What will you do?
As an Official Partner you will:
- Promote UKPW to your audiences using your platform and channels which could include:
- social media
- website
- newsletters and emails
- With support from UK Parliament’s Media team create media coverage e.g. online, broadcast, radio
- Write stories during the year to be featured on the UKPW website (more information about this can be found on the Partners’ Hub)
- Provide wording and a logo for your organisation’s dedicated page on the UKPW website
- Provide the UKPW team with a copy of your organisation’s Safeguarding Policy
What will the UKPW team do?
- Promote your organisation on the UKPW website and on social media
- Provide you with regular communications updates
- Send monthly UKPW activity sign-up data which you can search and filter
- Invite you to the UKPW official launch event, Official Partners Away Day, and regular digital focus groups
- Provide opportunities for you to collaborate with other organisations in the UKPW network
- Support you and your organisation to create online resources for your networks
What else?
You will have exclusive access to the UKPW Official Partners’ Hub. The Hub contains:
- Contact lists of MPs and members of the House of Lords
- Social media graphics and templates
- Monthly activity sign-up data
- Posters and physical marketing for you to download
- Press release templates
- Letter templates
- A platform to share your activity and information resources
