Girlguiding Cymru

Girlguiding Cymru are the leading charity for girls and young women in Wales. Thanks to their amazing 4,000 volunteers, they deliver life-changing adventures and opportunities to over 14,000 girls aged from 5 to 25.
The charity is for all girls and young women, whatever their background and circumstances and are fully integrated to include girls with disabilities.

Girlguiding Cymru offers girls fun, exciting activities and the chance to make lifelong friends. You’ll find guiding units in many communities, helping to give girls a head start in life and encouraging them to be happy, self-confident and curious about the world they live in and the difference they can make.
Girls can get badges in everything from survival, world traveller and independent living through to science investigator, stargazer and adventure. Their camps, holidays and trips give girls the chance to try new adventures, from quad biking, orienteering and abseiling, to zorbing, canoeing and zip-wiring.

Girlguiding Cymru also offers a Peer-Education Programme and specialist resources to support girls each year to talk about subjects like eating disorders, binge drinking, drugs and sexual health. Their projects also educate girls about sensitive issues affecting their peers around the world like violence against women, street children and girl’s education.

By volunteering with Girlguiding in Wales, you can help them create amazing opportunities for girls to have their own space and build their confidence, raise their aspirations and have fantastic fun. There are lots of ways you can volunteer with Girlguiding – it’s flexible and can be arranged to fit around a busy lifestyle. No matter how much or how little time you have, every hour counts.
