Join us at lunchtime on Wednesday 2 September for a Twitter chat to help you get ideas about how you can promote your Parliament Week event.
It will be an opportunity to share hints and tips, connect and network with other Parliament Week partners, and promote the work of your organisation.
To get involved simply join the conversation using the hashtag #PWpartners from 12.30pm on Wednesday 2 Sepetmber.
Some examples of questions we may ask are:
- How are you promoting your event?
- What publicity tips can you share?
Everyone is welcome to join in – whether this is your first year as a Parliament Week partner, or you’ve been with us since the beginning.
What’s a Twitter chat?
This will be our second time hosting a Parliament Week chat on Twitter, we hope it’ll be a great opportunity for partners to learn from each other and get some new ideas. We hope it will also increase your following and encourage people to find out more about your organisation.
This is how it might look:
@Parliament_Week will post a question which might look something like: “How can you use social media to promote your event?”
You may then want to RT and then reply or simply post an answer.
Things might move quickly so you may want to RT or favourite tweets that interest you so you don’t lose them in your stream.
Don’t forget to use the hashtag #PWpartners in your responses so we can keep track of the conversation and so other people can see your tweets.
Please also remember that we want to foster a collaborative and constructive environment, and you should only use the hashtag #PWpartners if your comment is relevant to the conversation.
