The Parliament Week Partners’ Conference is a free day of talks, workshops and networking to engage and inspire your organisation to take part in Parliament Week 2015. The conference is for organisations that are new to Parliament Week as well as those who have taken part before.
We are excited to be holding this year’s Partners’ Conference at the People’s History Museum in Manchester.
You will hear about plans for Parliament Week 2015, as well as hearing from existing partners about the events they ran for Parliament Week 2014.
You will also hear all about LiberTeas – an national event taking place on the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, asking people to take a moment to celebrate, debate and reflect on their freedoms and rights.
This will be an opportunity to network with other partners, chat to the Parliament Week team and visit the People’s History Museum’s fantastic Election! Britain Votes exhibition for free.
You can take part in two of our three exciting workshops:
- How to build your social media presence: Find out how you can use social media effectively to promote and engage audiences with your Parliament Week event. This workshop will be led by Jaz Cummins from Montfort.
- Parliament 1.01: Learn about how Parliament works and get answers to your questions with the Houses of Parliament’s regional outreach officer for the north west, Gary Hart
- Early Days of a Better Nation: An interactive workshop from theatre group Coney designed to engage young people in politics that will be touring the UK in 2015.
Throughout the day you will have many opportunities to meet existing partners, share your ideas and collaborate with others. The conference is also a great opportunity for you to tell us about how we can improve Parliament Week for you.
