In the run up to Parliament Week we will be highlighting events happening up and down the country. This week’s highlight focuses on a group of tours of the Government Art Collection They are holding three lunchtime tours (17, 19 and 20 November) that will focus on the unique stories behind the collection.
The tour will be run by experts from the Government Art Collection. They will tell you how the work is used in ministerial offices and the purpose of art in government buildings. You will be able to view works of art and areas not normally seen by the public in the main Government Art Collection building. You will find out about the works of art, where they have been displayed and who has acted as temporary guardians of the works.
Book onto one of their tours through the links on the listings page. All tours are free, last an hour and are aimed at those over 16 years old. The GAC premises are not suitable for wheelchair users. Booking is essential.
