Engage, Explore, Empower – taking part in UK Parliament Week
There are loads of ways that your organisation can take part in UK Parliament Week – from creating debate, exploring how Parliament affects their lives of people across the country and explaining how your audiences can get involved and make their voices heard about the issues that matter to them. You could run a public event, hold an information stall, a training event for your staff or an online debate.
All events and activities accepted as part of the UK Parliament Week 2016 programme must help to support our aims. These are to:
- Engage audiences with the work of the UK Parliament, MPs and members of the House of Lords, through participative events and activities
- Help audiences explore the history of the UK Parliament and think about its role in democracy
- Empower audiences to get involved with the UK Parliament and make their voices heard about issues that matter to them
Whatever you do, make sure it works for your organisation and audiences.
Don’t forget that we have toolkits available for you to download (in English and Welsh), and our friendly team are always happy to answer your questions.
